Alates 1994. a. TÜ Molekulaar- ja rakubioloogia instituudi teadusnõukogu liige, TÜ ja Haridus- ja teadusministeeriumi mitme komisjoni liige. Ajavahemikus 2000. – 2003. a. üleriigilise bioloogia ainenõukogu liige ning osalenud Eesti Haridusministeeriumi õppekava ekspertkomisjoni töös. 2003. a. rahvusvahelise konverentsi “e-Learning in Science and Environmental Education” orgkomitee liige. 2000. ja 2004. a. Eesti Bioloogiaõpetajate Konverentsi orgkomitee juht. Osalen mitmete rahvusvaheliste teadusorganisatsioonide tegevuses: IOSTE (International Organization of Scientific-Technological Education), ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education), AACE (Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education), SITE (Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education), ESERA (European Science Education Research Association) ja EARLI (European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction). Since 1994, I am a member of the Council of the Institute of molecular and cell biology at the University of Tartu, participate in the work of several commissions at the University of Tartu and Estonian Ministry of Education and Research. In 2000-2003 I was a member of the Committee of biology teaching at the Estonian Ministry of Education. I have participated in the work of different expert commissions at the Estonian Ministry of Education. I was a member of organizing committee of the international conference “e-Learning in Science and Environmental Education” in 2003, carried out at the University of Tartu. In 2000 and 2004, I was a Chair of the organizing committee of the Conference of Estonian Biology Teachers. I am a member of the following international organizations: IOSTE (International Organization of Scientific-Technological Education), ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education), AACE (Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education), SITE (Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education), ESERA (European Science Education Research Association), and EARLI (European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction).
