13.Teadustöö põhisuunad Matemaatilise statistika meetodite rakendamine astronoomias ja astrofüüsikas. Muutlike tähtede ja aktiivsete galaktikatuumade heleduskõverate uurimine. Gravitatsiooniläätsedega ja päikeseplekkidega seonduvad statistilised probleemid. Fourier spektomeetria infrapunases piirkonnas, kasutades kaasaegseid lugemismeetodeid. Nõrkade signaalide ajast sõltuv spektromeetria rakendustega astronoomias ja keemias.
