ERIS was a research information system that consolidated the information on R&D projects in Estonia.

ERIS consisted of 3 main elements: the database of researchers, projects and research institutions. Data on 4381 research projects and grant applications, 5919 persons and 233 research institutions have been registered in ERIS.

One of the ways ERIS obtained its information was via grant application entry system. The database has multiple layers for access. The public can access the data that concerns the projects whose funding has been approved.

ERIS became operative on the web in September, 2001 and was discontinued in April 2006.
