reg no: ETF5025
project type: Estonian Science Foundation research grant
subject: 1.3. Physics
status: completed
institution: Institute of Physics at University of Tartu
head of project: Peet Konsin
duration: 01.01.2002 - 31.12.2004
description: The investigation of the influence of the electric and laser field on the properties of ferroelectric-superconductor, ferroelectric-relaxor-superconductor, ferroelectric- ferroelectric structures, including nanostructures. The development of the original theory of ferroelectric oxides, ferroelectric films and ferroelectric relaxors. The investigation of the superconducting mechanisms in the high-temperature superconductors-cuprates and MgB2 in the two-band model and in the one band model (with original modified Coulomb pseudopotential). The calculation of electric field effects in fullerene type molecular superconductors. The study of the fluctuation conductivity in MgB2 and the calculation of the electrodynamic properties in cuprates and MgB2 . The derivation and investigation of the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations for ferroelectric-superconductor structures in the transverse electric and in laser fields. The application of the obtained results in the investigation of the mentioned structures as perspective transistors, actuators, sensors, nanomanipulators and passive and active electronic components.
