description: In capillary electrophoresis the buffered water solutions are used in general, which narrows substantially the area of use for that technique. Therefore the use of organic solvents in capillary electrophoresis is very promising providing the possibility for the separation of hydrophobic analytes. In this case the electrolytes solubilised in organic solvents are used to get separation media for mixtures. Use of organic solvents also enables us to study separation mechanisms based on the interactions impossible or very weak in water media.
The aim of the work is to study the possibilities to use different organic solvents in capillary electrophoresis; to investigate the electrophoretic behaviour of different non-water soluble compounds and to optimise the separation conditions; to study the possibilities of separation of neutral compounds in capillary electrophoresis.
In addition to analytical application the use of non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis will enable us to measure the parameters of different complexion reactions in organic solvents.
