title: Recombination processes in CuInSe2 based solar cells
reg no: ETF5149
project type: Estonian Science Foundation research grant
subject: 1.3. Physics
status: completed
institution: Tallinn Technical University
head of project: Jüri Krustok
duration: 01.01.2002 - 31.12.2005
description: The main aim of this project is to find out the nature of deep recombination centres in CuInSe2 -based single crystal solar cells. We will try to study more closely the recombination near CuInSe2-CdS junction and continue also to study a complexes with deep donor- deep acceptor in ternary compounds. Our plan is also to study the effect of various technological treatments on dislocations and recombination centres.
Actuality of the project to the scientists, working in the field of photovoltaics is obvious and there will be no problems with publication of obtained results. We are planning to participate at last in one conference every year, because it may be more beneficial than a published paper in a scientific journal. Successful results of the previous project and expected results of this project may give us an opportunity to join with projects, financed by European Union. All results will be also beneficial for a new semiconductor industry of Estonia.
