description: | The aim of the present research is to develop methodologies for the design of interdisciplinary products with aim to attain maximum synergy of the allied technologies and to build the functional quality in these products already at early stages of their development. This research area has become very popular during the last years and so on the 2001-year worldwide engineering design conference the development of the methodologies of interdisciplinary products design was declared the most priority area for the next years research. Present research is based on an original idea - taking as basis the evaluation of the quantitative characteristics of positive and negative synergy of allied technologies to develop the design methodologies giving possibility of regulation and optimisation of synergy balance to develop products with enchanted functional quality and competitive power. The target product groups are mechatronic ones based on synergy of mechanics, electronics and information technology and also lightning devices with integrated synergy of mechanics, electronics, thermodynamics and aerodynamics. For connecting these allied technologies a new approach to quality technology is necessary integrating functional quality with the organisational side of quality assurance. The results of the present research must be ready for industrial use at the design of interdisciplinary industrial products and systems giving possibility at early stages of their development to select out from alternative solutions those which are by their level of attained synergy and functional quality competitive on the market. |
