description: 1. The organisattion culture of Estonian dailies has changed along with the changes in ownership. The objective of this research is in first stage study and map the existing organisation culture in Estonian dailies and in second stage compare it with the corresponding newpaper organisations in the owner countries. The main research question is: if and to what extent the presence of foreign owners influences the inner job settings, personnel policies, management and the product (the newspaper and its supplements).
The research would be an important comparison material in Nordic journalism research. On the basis of the results it is possible to answer to the question the Nordic media researchers have resently raised (for example during the 15th Nordic Conference of Media and Communication in Reykjavik 2001): to what extent it is necessary to regulate media ownership relations and concentrations? This is also one of the topics of Kertu Saks` doctoral dissertation.

This is necessary to Estonian journalists further education, batchelors education and journalistic organisations. The research resluts published in the articles and K. Saks` Ph.
