description: Constitutive modelling of nonlinear elastic orthotropic materials.
Growing use of composite structures in different areas requires further refining of mathmatical models describing their behavior. Obviously, the results of stress -strain analysis depend on how the nonlinear elaticity is prescribed. Modelling of nonlinear elasticity is one of the main goals of the current project. Both, two and three dimensional orthotropic materials are considered. Expected results:
a) new nonlinear constitutive models,
b) results on orientational, thickness and topology design of orthotropic materials.

Analysis and design of composite plates and shells.
The main aim of the study is to develop numerical algorithms for analysis and design of geometrically nonlinear composite plates and shells. Different constitutive models are considered: linear and nonlinear elastic, rigid-plastic, elastic-plastic.

Investigation and application of analytical and numerical methods for solving partial and ordinary differential equations. Comparative study of different methods arising in mathematical modelling of plate and shell design problems.
