title: Algorithms for processing of highmolecular natural materials and waste products by pyrolysis and hydrogenisation
reg no: ETF5357
project type: Estonian Science Foundation research grant
subject: 2.6. Chemical Engineering
status: completed
institution: Oil Shale Research Institute at TTU
head of project: Ille Johannes
duration: 01.01.2003 - 31.12.2005
description:
The aim of the project is creation of algorithms to describe fundamentals of pyrolysis and supercritical extraction of highmolecular natural materials and wastes in autoclaves and hydrogenisation of the oil obtained.

The main results
? The algorithms would explain co-effects of factors (time, temperature, pressure, type and concentration of initial materials, solvents and catalysts) on the processes studied.

? The constants found would enable quantitative comparison of effects of the factors.

? The algorithms and constants found would enable to establish the optimum conditions for the processes.
