description: | The purpose of the present project are optimization of the developed from grant addressee technological process of lightweight composites manufacturing technology, including nanocrystallines boron carbide and nitride base composites with light metals, for example, aluminum and/or manganese binder phase. For this purpose it is necessary the attrition alloying/crushing of initial materials, carry out the self-propagating high temperature synthesis of starting powders, vacuum heat treatment in catalyst sourrounding and to study structure of these received materials. Depending on the given parameters of processes for achieve the directed change of the properties of light weight composites during realization of process. As a result of these research work it is expected, that using the given technology and on initial materials base the manufactured light weight composites have the highest mechanical, tribologycal and operational properties. As a the starting materials at elevated temperatures are very chemically active, especially nano cryctalline structure or nanosizes of grains of hard phase, then adapted or correctly chosen surroundings and regimes of heat treatment, on the base of initial materials the formation of various heat resistant carbides is possible. Depending on their concentration in result the light weight composites with optimal properties receive is possible. In result of the technological parameters optimisation is possible the direction change the mechanical, tribological and operational properties of lightweight composites, their stresses and resourse of operation during various loading, that is extremly important at designe both operation of various mechanisms and engines. |
