title: Design and investigation of high precision oscillators
reg no: ETF5614
project type: Estonian Science Foundation research grant
subject: 2.9. System Engineering and Computer Technology
status: completed
institution: TTU Faculty of Information Technology
head of project: Vello Kukk
duration: 01.01.2003 - 31.12.2005
description: Theoretical topics:
1. find out whether the low frequency 1/f noise in oscillators may be caused by chaotic process in oscillator and its relationship to noise caused by noisy components
2. study the properties of classical numerical integration fromulas when simulating highly oscillating systems
3. continue development of modeling method intended for fast analysis of highly oscillating systems based on Chebyshev transformation
4. incorporation of noise signals into integration fromulas for nonlinear circuits

Applications:
1. participation in development of high precision oscillators and phase lock systems in cooperation with industrial partners to verify theoretical results
2. development of specific software for accelaration of simulation of oscillators and PLL-based systems
3. automation of design procedures to achieve optimal solutions of highly oscillating circuits

The goal of the project is solving above described problems and application to design of high precision oscillating systems
