| description: | Current research project is going to continue the cooperation between chairs of economic policy, international economics and international business of Tartu University in analysing and explaining strategic options for the socio-economic development of Estonia. The approach will be expanded toward three directions: 1) dimension of sustainability and balanced development will be used; 2) new fields ¿ labour force and labour market, regional development, public administration, pension insurance- will be incorporated into research; 3) impact of joining with the EU is added into analyses. Project has following research tasks: development of the methodological fundamentals of the analyses and forecast of the sustainable and balanced development of Estonia; working out the strategic directions of development of Estonia in the context of joining with the EU, working out the strategic directions of development of the institutional structure of Estonia in the framework of joining with EU; analyses of the sustainability of development of the major economic branches of Estonia; analyses of attractiveness of Estonian investment climate and major strategies in order to improve it; working out the fundamentals of improving Estonian public administration system and regional policy; the role of infrastructure and socio-economic policy in the balanced and sustainable growth. |
