description: | The main concept and expected results of the planned research topic are based on the development of the results of the target-financed topic No. 0070055s98. During the previous stage, an original algebraic model was elaborated for the closure of the motion equations of the polydispersed phase of two-phase (gas-solid particles) flows. In the framework of that model, analytical expressions were gained for pseudo-viscous and pseudo-diffuse coefficients, by means of which the hydrodynamic characteristics of the flow and the relaxation characteristics of the solid phase are calculated and which enable to close the mass, momentum and angular momentum equations of the dispersed phase. Taking into consideration approving assessments given to achieved results at international conferences and recommendations made by international evaluators, the elaborated model is developed further taking into account the physical effects resulting from the collision processes of particles as well as the spectral structure of turbulence. In order to explain the mechanisms of interaction between the turbulence structure and solid particles, a model for interaction between dispersed particles and standard vortical structures is worked out. The expected results will enable to create calculation methods for analysing dispersed flows and for controlling processes related to them primarily in energy equipment (pulverised combustion, fluidised bed combustion technology, etc). |
