| description: | Goals and results of the project for the year 2003 1. Continuing investigation of antibacterial resistance of mastitis pathogens isolated from cows with clinical and subclinical mastitis. 2. PCR analysis of selected strains of Staphylococci in EELA for confirmation of oxacillin resistance in of strains 3. Continuing education courses for veterinarians and dairy farmers. 4. To increase the awareness of prescribing and supervising veterinary surgeons to the problem of antibiotic resistance and to review the basic principles on the prudent use of antibiotics. 5. To improve the knowledge of dairy farmers in connection of treatment of clinical and subclinical mastitis with special emphasise to the reasonable use of antibiotics. |
