| description: | The postnatal strtucture of the mucosa of the respiratory tract of piglets in age up to 2 mounths and calves up to 6 mounths will be studied in 2004. The aim of the research is to investigate the cyto- and histostructure of the mucosa of the respiratory tract of piglets and calves using light microscopy, cyto- and histochemical methods, and TEM and SEM method. The second aim is to provide an overview of the distribution of swine and cattle respiratory infections, their nosological structure and the epidemiological situation. The nature of the pathological alterations and range of respiratory tract caused by different pathogens will be studied using pathoanatomical and histological methods. The pathological changes of the respiratory tract of infected animals will be compared with normally developed animals of same age. |
