| description: | The objective of the grant project is to create an information system of tree and stand models and data sets enabling maximally user-friendly application of the tree and stand models designed in Estonia and neighbouring countries and testing them on the existing yield table, sample plot and tree stem analysis data. 1. Working out of the structure of the information system (database). 2. Supplementation of the database of models of the information system with new models as yet unanalysed. 3. Collection, systematisation and entering into the information system of Estonia's and neighbouring countries' stand yield tables and other table-format findings. 4. Conversion of the available stand sample plot, tree stem analysis and model tree data into the information system's format. 5. Creation of user interfaces (tabular and graphic outputs) to implement the models included in the information system and test them on data sets. 6. Testing and evaluation of the models saved in the information system based on the available data sets. 7. Re-measuring of the permanent stand growth sample plot network covering all of Estonia. 8. Development of a database for forest growth functions. 9. Research on the theoretical aspects of forest modelling and statistical analysis. |
