| description: | This research will deal with the formation of European non-democratic regimes in the interwar period. 15 cases of European states will be analysed. The Estonian case is one of the most interesting of them for several reasons, therefore this case will be more carefully looked at. Different economic and demographic factors (inflation of the 1920s, economic slump and unemployment of the 1930s, demographic transition) and political circumstances (unbalanced constitution etc.) will be considered from the point of maintaining democratic government. The result of the project will be publishing monographs in Estonian and English. |
