description: | The aim of the present research is to complete the with development of a methodology of interdisciplinary products design based on the synergy of allied technologies. The present research is based on an original idea - taking the evaluation of the quantitative characteristics of positive and negative synergy of allied technologies as a basis to develop the design methodologies making it possible to regulate the synergy balance to develop products of enchanted functional quality and competitive power. By support of the previous ETF grants two doctoral dissertations on this area of research have been completed. In order to reach the complete design methodology and to cover the areas of still unsolved problems it is necessary to finish two other doctoral dissertations. At first, it is necessary to enrich the methodology with business dimensions granting the competitive power of designed products on the basis of the optimal ratio of product development cost to production cost. Secondly, for the synergy-based synthesis of allied technologies it is necessary to find a new approach to the quality assurance technology to integrate at product design its performance quality and supporting organisational measures. The results of the present research must be ready for industrial use enabling at early stages of product development to select out the solutions, which are competitive on the market. The results of the previous research in this area have had an encouraging support at international scientific forums. After completing the present research it will be possible to start writing a monograph including the entire description of the elaborated methodology. |
