title: Synthesis of CuInSe2 type solar cell absorber materials and their surface modification
reg no: ETF6160
project type: Estonian Science Foundation research grant
status: accepted
institution: Tallinn Technical University
head of project: Mare Altosaar
duration: 01.01.2005 - 31.12.2008
description: The aim of the project is to synthesize solar cell absorber materials by selenization of electrochemically deposited and sputtered layers or powdery metal alloys and to modify their surfaces by thermal and chemical treatments for efficient p-n junction formation. The project is a logical continuation of the grant #5139 of the applicant, in frame of which the processes of electrodeposition and chemical deposition were studied. The investigation of correlations between optical and electrical properties and composition and thermal treatment and other preparation conditions gives us basic knowledge and can be published in scientific journals. The main task of the project is to study the tailoring of morfological, optical, electrical and surface properties of absorber materials for the efficient p-n junction formation.
