description: | Two aspects (a and b) of embedded systems are considered, both dealing with development of new methods, structures, and materials of electronic means for mission critical systems. Aspect (a): conversion and management of electrical power in embedded systems using novel electronic materials and components. Aspect (b): development of communicative electronic circuits using systems engineering and signal processing methods with implementations in embedded systems for medical and technical diagnosing. In frames of the aspect (a), the theoretical and experimental studies of micro- and nanostructures of metal-semiconductor interfaces and p-n junction based structures realised using diffusion welding technology will be performed. The targeted is to improve the design techniques of novel semiconductor devices based on wide bandgap semiconductor materials like SiC, GaN and C (diamond), which meet several specific ambient and operating requirements. Aspect (b) focuses on the study of signal processing algorithms based on non-uniform undersampling to achieve the maximal effeciency at minimal computing capacity and power consumption. A goal is to ignore Nyquist-Shannon-Kotelnikov's sampling theorem and overcome Nyquist frequency border. The data communications in body area (BAN) and personal area networks (PAN) will be studied to implement the results in implantable and wearable medical diagnosing. |
