description: The main aim of the project is to compare general rules of commercial, especially contract law, common to European national legal systems, applicable EC law and general rules of international commercial law (e.g. UPICC, CISG, model laws) to determine the conflicts between the different rules and give the possible solutions to avoid inconsistencies between the rules in the future Global Commercial Code, to offer the common terminology and content of general commercial law instruments. Under the Project the ways how the rules of commercial contract law are applied and implemented in the EU Member States, other countries and in Estonia will be searched. Important is also the analyse of the effectiveness of functioning of the market under the pressure of the interest groups involved (consumers, enterprises) which means more soft harmonisation, offer solutions under the economical methods of law. The main results of the Project will be published to promote of well-working legal concepts and ideas from different legal systems, also from Estonia and popularisation of Estonian legal doctrine and court practice. There will be publications consisting of translations of the most important court cases and the internet magazine of commercial law of Estonia will be elaborated.
